Sweet Flavors of Fall
Even though fall has “officially” arrived on the calendar, the cooler weather hasn’t hit my neck of the woods yet, but that hasn’t stopped me from thinking about fall foods. For me, it’s all about the sweets (no surprise, right?).
Visions of recipes made with apples, pears, sweet potatoes, pumpkin and more have been dancing around in my head lately. Apple bars, apple butter, apple cider, sweet potato casserole with brown sugar pecan topping, sweet potato pie, pumpkin bread, pear bread, caramel apples and the extra-large caramel apple pie from Costco are just some of the treats that come to mind. Oh my, I’m getting hungry just writing about these sweets!
Then there’s the candy that only comes out in the fall. Oh my goodness! Is there any better time of year for this? Take a look at my favorites.
White Chocolate Candy Corn M&M’s is at the top of my list since I’m a big-time white chocolate fanatic. I’m totally addicted to these. Believe me, I’d be doing the happy dance if these were available all year long…they could make them in pastel colors like they did at Easter and I’d probably keep them in business myself! The 3 bags I bought last weekend won’t be around very long…I’m sure I’ll be heading back to Wal-Mart or Target for before too long!
I got the Pumpkin Spice Kisses last year for the first time…yummm! If you haven’t tried these, I suggest you head right out and buy a bag before they’re all gone. You might just find a new recipe showing up here soon using these…stay tuned.
Caramel Candy Corn is by far my favorite candy corn with the Caramel Apple Candy Corn right behind. Mr. C. is really partial to the Caramel Candy Corn (he put 3 bags in the cart on our last Wal-Mart trip).
Have you seen the new Caramel Apple Milky Way Minis? Mmmm…quite a tasty treat!
If you’re looking for sweet recipes for fall, check these out. Some of you may be new here and you don’t want to miss these.
Gingersnap Pumpkin Spice Sandwich Cookies – a quick 4-ingredient cookie using ready-made gingersnaps, Pumpkin Spice Kisses, vanilla candy coating and a sprinkling of cinnamon. You won’t be able to stop at one!
Cheddar Apple Biscuits – a sweet biscuit made with sharp cheddar cheese, Granny Smith apple and a sweet apple glaze
Toffee Apple Pie Cookie Bites – starts with a sugar cookie mix to which you add dried apples, apple pie spice and toffee bits
Toffee Pear Pumpkin Pie Bread – a quick bread made with fresh pears, toffee bits, pumpkin pie spice and a pumpkin pie spice glaze
What fall treats have you been dreaming of?
Happy Fall Y’all!!!

I love all of these Fall treats! The M&MS are my favorite!
I know you’re a big fan of the white chocolate M&M’s…hope you find some soon!
Candy corn is my favorite autumn treat. Somehow it just signifies the shift from summer to fall. This post was “sweet!”
Have you tried the caramel candy corn? It’s different from the regular.
They all look so delicious, but I think I’ll try making the Toffee Pear Pumpkin Pie Bread first. Then something with those pumpkin spice kisses! What fun!
You’ll find the quick bread is very moist…yum!
More than a treat what I have looking forward is the Pumpkin Spice Coffee creamer from International Delight. I do love the candy corn, it’s very old school & can really represent the fall season! Robin, we need some cool weather here and soon, this heat is too much!
Ooh…I almost forgot about the seasonal flavored creamers! I’m with you on the weather…bring on the coolness!
