There are times when life or circumstances are so crazy that you just have to get away from it all…even if it’s just for one day. Some of you may be going non-stop and think you don’t have time to take a break. Well friends, this is exactly when you need to rest and restore your soul so you can keep on keeping on. It’s good for you all around. Can I get an “Amen” from those who’ve been there and know what I’m talking about? Maybe you have a favorite place that’s your oasis…if not, it’s a must to find one to decompress, relax and breathe! For us, there’s nothing more refreshing than being in the mountains or someplace around water.
Not too long ago, it was one of those times when we just had to get away for the day or we’d bust! We got up real early one weekend morning (I’m talking dark-thirty now) and headed over to the coast to watch the sun rise over the ocean. Let me tell you, we couldn’t have had a more perfect day for our getaway. The sky was barely beginning to turn light when we arrived. We took our chairs down to the beach and relaxed while waiting for the sun to come up. Actually, I didn’t sit long as I kept getting up to take pictures with my phone and videos to enjoy later…you know, to relive it again. Just one sunrise (shown above) would have been an awesome sight, but would you believe we saw the sun rise 5 times that morning? It kept going behind the clouds and “rising” again.
Each view was one majestic masterpiece after another painted by God in a matter of minutes. He knew just what we needed and we were blessed beyond measure.
Just beginning to see some color.
We knew it was going to be a beautiful sunrise.
See how the sun went behind the clouds? This was after the first sunrise above.
Here’s another sunrise!
Still another sunrise
Behind the clouds again!
Love the reflection!
Even the birds enjoyed the sunrise.
Ahhh….melt away stress, melt away!
Take time to get away for the day…you deserve it! Where will you go? Start planning now.
Sometimes the most important thing in a whole day is the rest we take between two deep breaths.

The last two pictures were taken by hubby. All others were taken with my phone.
