Don’t you just love sweet treats that can be thrown together without a lot of fuss? My Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch Bars are just that. They’re no-bake, easy to make and are ready to eat in no time.
Many of you probably had a favorite cereal growing up. Mine was the regular Capt’n Crunch (there weren’t different flavors back then). I liked the way the cereal crunched and made the milk so sweet. Thoughts of a crispy type treat made with my childhood cereal had been tumbling around in my head and I picked up a box when it was on sale recently. Hubby saw the cereal and wanted to get into it for a snack (guess it was one of his favorites too). When I told him it was for a new recipe, he said he’d wait…but, as soon as I said I wasn’t going to use the whole box and he could go ahead and open it, he was a happy man.
Goodness gracious y’all! These bars are oh so good and will keeps for days (if they last that long). I made a batch to take to a family potluck on Easter and people were going back for seconds and thirds. Don’t let the drab color of these Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch Bars fool you. One taste and you’ll be addicted. My chocoholic hubby went through quite a few of these and I’m sure he’d be happy to have them around all the time! I wasn’t really thrilled with any of the photos I took as none of the shots came out “pretty” enough for me (not sure if it was the color of everything combined or what). Would you believe I almost called them “ugly” crunch bars? I’ve already been instructed to make them part of my Christmas treat gifts…now that’s a compliment in itself! Enjoy.
