Try this cool and refreshing taste of fall in a glass.
Don’t you think fall is the best time of year for apple cider? There’s nothing like a cup of hot apple cider when it’s cold outside to warm you up. But….when it still feels like summer where you live, what’s a girl to do?
With temps in the 80’s and 90’s around here lately, I’m not quite ready for hot cider yet. Can you blame me? So, I came up with the idea to make my own cool apple cider drink instead. I mixed together apple cider, apple sparkling water and a little caramel syrup. Three ingredients….that’s all it takes to make this taste of fall in a glass. Mmmmm!
Wouldn’t this be a great addition to your Thanksgiving menu? Make the recipe as is or double it up to serve along with iced tea and any other beverages you have planned. You could even serve it in small glasses or plastic cups when your guests start arriving to wet their whistle. Enjoy!
Yield: Makes 2 quarts
- 2 cups apple cider
- 2 cups apple flavored sparkling water
- 2 teaspoons caramel flavoring syrup (type used for beverages)*
- Combine all ingredients in 2 quart pitcher; stir.
- Refrigerate until chilled.
- Serve over ice.
*If you prefer more caramel flavoring, add 1/2 teaspoon at a time until desired flavor is reached.
