What comes to mind when you think of an orange creamsicle? Maybe your thoughts drift to the ice cream truck driving slowly down the street with music playing loud enough for everyone to hear. You had just enough time to get your money before it drove by your house. OK, I might be dating myself now, but I remember these days and the neighborhood kids stepping up to the window to buy a cool treat on a hot summer day. Perhaps you begged to stop at the corner store and ran straight to the ice cream case. Ahh…the sweet memories of childhood!

Have you ever had brownie brittle? I’d never even heard of this until I recently saw a picture on Instagram. Since the comment mentioned it was at Costco, I decided to pick up a bag on my next trip. I wasn’t exactly sure what these crispy treats would taste like, but I do have a chocoholic in the house and knew it wouldn’t last long anyway (notice the empty bag below). You see, I’m actually a chewy brownie gal myself and was pleasantly surprised by the rich chocolate flavor of this new treat. It’s addictive!
Before I even bought this brownie brittle, I had thoughts to crush it up and add to cookies…what else, huh? It seems I’m always thinking of special cookie additions. OK, now what else could I add to these new cookies? Looking around the kitchen, I spotted Butterfinger candy bars, peanut butter chips and milk chocolate chips…that’s it! Into the bowl all these ingredients went. My last addition was going to be one-half cup of chocolate chips since there already was a bunch of brownie brittle in there, but I went ahead and added a full cup…let’s just load them babies up with goodies!

Now who likes chocolate-dipped strawberries? I do, I do!! Take a look at these luscious strawberries that Strawberry Sue surprised me with! Sue is the Director of Marketing for the Florida Strawberry Growers Association (FSGA) and we’ve been following each other on Twitter for quite some time now. She was in town recently and we had a chance to meet for the first time. Can I tell you how excited I was that she brought along these strawberries just for me?
Let me tell you, my first bite of one of these chocolate-dipped strawberries was pure bliss…it was so juicy that it dripped on my shirt and I have the red stain to prove it (no problem since it was one of those shirts that I only wear around the house…you know what I’m talking about)! Oh my goodness y’all. These are over the top awesome! We cut some up and put over pound cake too…yummm!!!
